Oath Taking Ceremony of New Civil Engineers and PICE General Assembly Marks a Milestone Day in Zambo

A momentous event unfolded at the Astoria Plaza GF, Grand Astoria Hotel, Zamboanga City last February 4, 2023, as 92 new civil engineers took their professional oath in the presence of esteemed guests, proud guardians, and the leadership of the Philippine Institute of Civil Engineers (PICE) Zamboanga City chapter. The ceremony was held under the distinguished patronage of PRC Regional Director Alfonso C. Viloria and was marked by an atmosphere of accomplishment and determination.





The day began with a vibrant procession, as the newly registered civil engineers, accompanied by their guardians, PRC officials, and PICE Zamboanga City Officers, made their way to the venue. The sight was a testament to the dedication and hard work that had brought them to this pivotal juncture in their professional journey.


The pivotal moment arrived when PRC Regional Director Alfonso C. Viloria stepped forward to administer the oath of professionalism to the 92 civil engineers. With unwavering voices and a shared commitment to uphold the principles of their chosen field, the oath takers pledged to serve society through their expertise and integrity.


A highlight of the event was the PICE Induction Ceremony, a segment brimming with significance and promise. Engr. Glieza E. Caceres, the Treasurer of PICE Zamboanga City, presented the Treasurer's Report, reflecting the financial health of the chapter and its prudent stewardship of resources. Following this, Engr. Jul-Arab A. Kong, the President of PICE Zamboanga City, presented the President's Report, outlining the achievements and milestones the chapter had accomplished during its tenure.


The gathering was graced by the presence of PICE Regional Coordinator Cayamombao D. Dia, who introduced the keynote speaker, PICE National President-Elect Emil K. Sadain. With an eloquent address, PICE National President-Elect Sadain shared insights, wisdom, and encouragement drawn from his vast experience in the field. His message resonated deeply with the new civil engineers, reminding them of their roles as stewards of progress and development.


A poignant moment arrived as PICE National President-Elect Sadain led the induction of new PICE members, symbolizing their formal integration into the esteemed professional community. This gesture underscored the unity and collective strength that PICE embodies, fostering an environment of collaboration, mentorship, and growth.
